Our journey

ELS Hospitality Training Center was established in September 2020 with a single mission: to bring modern hospitality education to life.

Working in Kenya’s hospitality education sector highlighted the need for practical, hands-on learning, strong internship opportunities, professionalism, and a positive attitude to succeed. ELS was born from the desire to meet international hospitality standards.

Our goal is to provide quality hospitality education that prepares learners to excel in both local and global industries.

Meet our instructors

Edith Mutai

Director 

Edith is an experienced hotelier with nearly 20 years in the hospitality industry.

She obtained her Diploma in Hotel Management from Kenya Utalii College in 2014 and later pursued a BSc in Hospitality Management at Strathmore University, Nairobi, in 2017. Edith honed her operational skills while working with Fairmont Norfolk Nairobi, Panari, and Panafric Hotels.

Before her current role, Edith served at the International Hotel & Tourism Institute, where she held various positions including Hospitality Management Lecturer, Lead Manager for the BTEC Program, Acting Academic Dean, and Administration Manager.

She brings a wealth of experience in hospitality education, internship placement both locally and internationally, and international curriculum development.

Edith has a relentless passion for hospitality and hospitality education, with a strong belief in how education transforms young people into professional hoteliers. Positive attitude and being a go getter is all you need to grow in hospitality.
